Fujifilm declare roadshow 'huge sucess'

The Swains/Fujifilm 2011 Roadshow ended recently having visited eight venues across the UK.

Visitors were able to try out the latest equipment from Fujifilm including the companys best selling DL430 Dryminilab system along with the Smartpix kiosk, Epson 7890 wide format printer and the ASK dye sub printer.

Along with these well established products were three new ones: the Quick Print Station, a counter top instant print and passport kiosk (also distributed via Swains) and two photobook creation solutions for both wet and dry lab prints in the PhotoBook Builder and Studio Album photobook maker.

Peter Wigington, Marketing Manager for Fujifilm Photo Imaging Group, was delighted by the venture: "When Swains, who are our distribution partner for the FDIS group, asked us to join them on a UK wide roadshow we thought ‘What a great idea!'. We know this is a very busy time in store for photo retailers but we really wanted to show them some of our latest photo imaging solutions so taking our products to them seemed ideal . We were delighted by the turnout at all the venues and, of course, by the amount of interest in our special roadshow offers. All-in-all our 2011 UK tour was a huge success!"

Swains showed their complete range of frames and albums, including the very latest range of the Coral Coast albums as well as the new 'Memorie' instant photo book and the latest 'Pay As You go' smart phones from Vodaphone.

Swain’s Daily Mail programme also captured the imagination of many independent photo retailers. As Roy Sealey, director of Swains explained: “We need to help stores get more consumers through their doors and we need to ensure their retail offering is very competitively priced and always available. We had 10 very strong camera offers available at the roadshow which will be promoted with a full page advert in the Daily Mail listing all participating stores. So far we have 118 signed up to the programme which is a great result for us and for the retailers.”
