Fujifilm unveils counter-top print solution

Fujifilm has launched a new, space-saving photo printing solution. The Digital Photo Centre CT is a counter-top unit that uses the new ASK-300 Thermal Dye Sublimation printer as its output device.

With a tiny footprint of just 0.12m2 the DPC-CT offers the perfect way to turn unused retail space into profit. The unit features an easy-to-use touch screen and a built-in digital media reader.

It is the ideal entry level photo printing solution that provides quality instant prints in four sizes (6x4, 6x8, 5x 3.5 and 5x7). The ASK-300 printer has a printing resolution of 300 dpi that gives sharp, professional quality results producing a continuous tone at 256 gradient for each of Y, M and C.

The unit prints a 6x4 image in just 12 seconds and it is labour saving too, with a large capacity paper roll producing 400 6x4 prints per roll. The ASK-300 is a dye-sublimation printer that uses thermal transfer to achieve its stunning results. It is recommended to be used with Fujifilm's 'Quality Thermal Photo Paper' - a result of the company's expertise in silver halide technologies.

The paper is manufactured through a proprietary coating technology process that requires virtually no polluting organic solvents so is ecologically friendly. The paper also has reduced static which improves consumer handling of prints and reduces sticking.
