Master Photography Diamond Jubilee Awards launches new Under 18s category
The Master Photographers Association (MPA) has made an exciting move that will result in the work of younger photographers and students achieving national recognition.
The Association has introduced the new category of 'Young Photographer of the Year' to their impending '2012 Master Photography Diamond Jubilee Awards'.
Opening its doors for the first time to under 18s, this new category will provide keen, young photographic talent with the opportunity to have their skills for taking stunning images recognised in these prestigious photographic awards.
The MPA's annual awards have continued to draw the creme de la creme of the photographic industry, and now feature a broader range of categories open to non-MPA members, to achieve a much wider photographic audience.
Photographers are now able to submit their images via the MPA Awards website (www.masterphotographyawards.co.uk). The Young Photographers category, which is free to enter, accepts digital files only, with a closing date of 31 July 2012.
Says Colin Buck, MPA chief executive: "I am excited to see our Master Photography Awards introduce a category dedicated to showcasing up and coming young talent. By entering, young photographers are taking significant steps in furthering their involvement in the professional photographic industry, and we all look forward to seeing fresh and exciting photos taken by tomorrow's professionals."
The Awards ceremony is set to take place at the Gateshead Hilton hotel in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne on Sunday 14th October.
